CareSource Announces Intention to Bid to Serve Iowa’s Medicaid Population

Des Moines, IA, September 29, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization, announces its intention to submit a proposal to serve Iowa residents covered by Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). In May, the Iowa Department of Social Services announced plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to acquire Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to provide care under the Iowa Medicaid program. Health Link. The tender is expected to be released in December 2021 and contracts will be awarded in the fall of 2022. CareSource is currently working with Iowa regulators to obtain the necessary approvals to serve as the managed care organization in Iowa .
