“Today is a momentous day for the VA Pacific Island health care system and the tens of thousands of local veterans we serve,” said Dr. Adam robinson, director of VAPIHCS. “Project ALOHA will allow us to dramatically expand the services we provide to our veterans by increasing access to cutting-edge technology, the best providers and VA personnel who will provide them with safe, compassionate and safe care. quality.”
For Hunt, the developer of the state-of-the-art facility and the largest owner of military housing in United States, this innovation signifies its continued commitment to the US military.
“This facility will serve a community with a rich military history, which has long awaited improved access to health care closer to home,” said Steve Colón, president of the hunt Development Division in Hawai’i and a US Navy veteran. “Project ALOHA achieves the vision and mission of the late US Senator Daniel Akaka, who has worked tirelessly to ensure that our veterans and military get the support they need, where they need it. Hunt is proud to be a part of this pivotal moment. ”
The Veterans Administration awarded the lease to locate the ALOHA project in Kalaeloa in April 2021. The establishment should open its doors at the end of 2023.
