POTSDAM, NY (WWTI) – A new clinical psychologist has joined the Psychiatric and Behavioral Health team at St. Lawrence Health.

Lindsey Truskowski, PsyD, will now provide services at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital campus in Potsdam, New York. Dr. Truskowski is certified by the American Psychological Association and received her doctorate in psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University on the Washington DC campus.

She is also local in the north of the country and previously completed internships in the inpatient rehabilitation departments at Canton-Potsdam Hospital before relocating to Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

“Being from the north of the country and having had the opportunity to live in metropolitan areas allowed me to appreciate the health care services needed in our region,” said Dr Truskowski. “I look forward to being a part of Santé Saint-Laurent’s growing behavioral health program. “

Dr. Truskowski’s additional experience includes working with adult and adolescent patients through psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

She also has clinical research experience in combat-related post-traumatic street disorders in military families.

In her role, Dr. Truskowski will assess patients, perform psychological tests and work to understand emotions.

Lindsey Truskowski’s office, PsyD, is located on the Canton-Potsdam Hospital campus and will also provide consultation services for the Gouverneur Hospital and the Massena Hospital.
