Rising medical device imports in India are hurting small and medium units


India’s medical device imports jumped 41% to Rs 63,200 crore in 2021-22, driven by a 48% year-on-year (YoY) increase in imports from China to 13,538 crores of rupees, Commerce Department data analyzed by the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMeD) showed.
